1.Simple present tense

Simple Present Tense digunakan untuk menyatakan peristiwa atau kejadian, kegiatan, aktivitas dan sebagainya yang terjadi saat ini. Present Tense juga digunakan untuk menyatakan suatu Fakta, atau sesuatu yang tejadi berulang-ulang dimasa kini.

Rumusnya           :
(+):         S+V1(s/es)
(-):          S+do/does+not+V1
(?):         do/does + S + V1

Example               :

                (+):         She drinks coffe

(-):          She does not drink coffee.

(?):         does She drink coffee?

2.Present continuous tense

Present Continuous Tense digunakan untuk menyatakan, mengatakan (atau apalah namanya itu istilahnya) suatu yang sedang terjadi saat ini, sedang berlangsung saat ini.

                       Rumusnya:

               (+): S + Tobe + Ving

               (-): S + Tobe+ Not+ Ving

               (?):   Tobe + S + Ving

                                                example:

               (+)I am writing now 

               (-)You are NOT reading my article at present

               (?)Are You reading my article at present? 

3.Simple past tense

Simple past tense untuk menyatakan peristiwa yang telah “Lampau”.

               Rumus Past Tense:

        (+): S + V2

        (-): S + did not + V1

        (?): Did + S + V1

               Example:

        (+):    I saw her standing there

        (-):    I did not see her standing there

        (?):    Did you see her standing there?

4.Past continuous tense

Past Continuous Tense digunakan untuk menyatakan peristiwa yang sedang terjadi juga, tetapi sedang terjadi sekarang, melainkan sedang terjadi tetapi dulu, tetapi sudah lewat.

               Rumus Past Continuous Tense:

        Positif: S + was/were + Ving

        Negatif: S + was/were + NOT + Ving

        Tanya: Was/Were + S + Ving

                                Example:

(+) :        I was sleeping when my friend came to my house yesterday

(-):          I was not sleeping when my friend came to my house yesterday

(?):         were you sleeping when my friend came to my house yesterday?

5.Present perfect tense

               Rumusnya Present Perfect Tense:

        Positif: S + have/has + V3

        Negatif: S + have/sas Not + V3

        Tanya:   Have/has + S + V3

                                Example:

                (+) she has gone

(-) she has not gone

(?) Has she gone?

6.Present perfect continuous tense

               Rumus Present Perfect Continuous Tense:

        Positif: S + have/has + been + Ving

        Negatif: S + have/has + not + been + Ving

        Tanya: Have/has + S + been + Ving

               Example:

        (+):    She has been learning english for 3 years

        (-):    she has not been learning English for 3 years

        (?):    Has She been learning english for 3 years?

7.Past perfect tense

               Rumus Past Perfect Tense:

        Positif: S + had + V3

        Negatif: S + had + not + V3

        Tanya: Had + S + V3

                        Example:
(+)-I had studied hard but I didn’t make good result in the exam.

(-)-I had not studied hard, so I didn’t make good result

(?)Had You studied hard,so I didn’t make good result?

8.Past perfect continuous tense

Past Perfect Continuous Tense dalam pelajaran Bahasa Inggris Grammar digunakan untuk menyatakan hal atau peristiwa yang sesuatu yang telah  dan sedang terjadi dimasa lampau.

               Rumus Past Perfect Continuous Tense:

        Positif: S + had + been + Ving

        Negatif: S + had + not + been + Ving

        Tanya:  Had + S + been + Ving

               Example:

(+):-Joh and Merry had been loving each other.

(-):-Joh and Merry had not been loving each other.

(?):-Had Joh and Merry been loving each other?.

9.Simple future tense

Future Tense atau Simple Future digunakan untuk menyatakan peristiwa yang Akan Terjadi. Future tense adalah tentang Nanti

               Rumus Future Tense:

        Positif: S + will + V1

        Negatif: S + will + not + V1

        Tanya: Will + S + V1

               Example:

        (+):-They will visit Tokyo

        (-):-They will not visit Tokyo

        (?):-Will They visit Tokyo?

10.Future continuous tense

Tense yang satu ini berbicara tentang suatu peristiwa yang “Sedang Terjadi” juga sebagaimana Present Continuous Tense, tetapi bedanya dalam Future Continuous Tense maka “Sedang” nya itu bukan sekarang melainkan besok, akan datang, nanti.

                               Rumus Future Continuous Tense:

        Positif: S + will + be + Ving

        Negatif: S + will not + be + Ving

        Tanya: Will + S + be + Ving

(+):-I will be swimming at 9 o’clok tomorrow

(-):-I will not be swimming at 9 o’clok tomorrow

(?):will you be swimming at 9 o’clock tomorrow?

11.Future perfect continuous tense

Past Future Perfect Continuous Tense mengenai peristiwa atau hal yang akan telah sedang terjadi di masa lampau.

               Rumus Past Future Perfect Continuous Tense:

        Positif: S + would + have + been + Ving

        Negatif: S + would + not + have + been + Ving

        Tanya: Would + S + have + been + Ving

               Example:

(+):I would have been swimming for 30 minutes When You called me yesterday.

(-):I would have not been swimming for 30 minutes When You called me yesterday.

(?):would you have been swimming for 30 minutes when you called me yesterday?

12.Future perfect tense

               Rumus Future Perfect Tense:

        Positif: S + will + have + V3

        Negatif: S + will + not + have + V3

        Tanya: Will + S + have + V3

               Example:

        (+)-I will have swum at 11 tomorrow

        (-):-I will not have swum at 11 tomorrow

        (?):-will you have swum at 11 tomorrow?

13.Past future tense

               Rumus Past Future Tense:

        Positif: S + would + V1

        Negatif: S + would + not + V1

        Tanya:  Would + S + V1

               

Example:

(+)-I would go at 7 am when He came to my house yesterday

(-)-I would not go at 7 am when He came to my house yesterday

(?)-would you go at 7 am when He came to my house yesterday?

14.Past future continuous tense

               Rumus Past Future Continuous Tense:

        Positif: S + would + be + Ving

        Negatif: S + would + not + be + Ving

        Tanya: Would + S + be + Ving

        Example:

(+)-I would be swimming at 9 yesterday.

(-)-I would not  be swimming at 9 yesterday.

(?)- would you be swimming at 9 yesterday?

               Rumus Past Perfect Tense:

        Positif: S + had + V3

        Negatif: S + had + not + V3

        Tanya: Had + S + V3

Example:

                        (+)-You had told me twice before I understood.

(-)-You had not told me twice before I understood.
